Here's a question for women golfers: What does the term "ladies golf clubs" mean to you? What attributes are most important to you in ladies golf clubs? When you hear about ladies golf clubs, or go shopping for new ones, are you expecting the clubs to feature different types of technology from "regular" clubs, or are you thinking more in terms of looks and style? Tell us what you are expecting to find when club manufacturers label a set as "ladies golf clubs." Add Your Comments

engineering is everything

I could really care less about color, and it's insulting that companies think this is going to sell clubs. If I want cute, I'll go get a pink outfit. I want a club that enables my game and helps me to get distance and accuracy from my swing. Not all women are powder puff players. I have been playing since my teens, and I'm tired of the male's attitudes about women golfers. Give me a club that helps me outdrive those jerks and that will shut them up!!

design and results

I want thoughtfully designed clubs. Not a pared down man's club. Weighting down low, shorter driver lengths please, and better soles for those who pick clean off the turf. Color? Like I care, but pink clubs automatically make me think they are fluff clubs. Higher angles on drivers, I hate a 10-degree face as I don't have the skill yet to launch one 275 yards. But I can get 190 on a 15-degree. and that is good enough while I learn.

Women's Golf Clubs - Expectations

Pink and looks good! It doesn't matter about the color or look, I want clubs that will will enable my game to improve provided I get the needed instruction from a Pro and practice what I've learned.

pink!

A lot of club companies think that if you put some pink on a club that makes them ladies golf clubs. You know what? It does! I love pink, and I don't know anything about how golf clubs are designed or built or marketed. Give me something that looks good and make it affordable, and I'm happy.

style and substance

I want some of both -- I expect golf club companies to give me something that looks good, but clubs that are made to help my slower swing speed.
