The make/model of my custom cart is:
This cart is a 1979 Elmco Royal Ride 4-seater.
It was customized by (company/location):
Gary Belec, Wittmann, Arizona.
Why I wanted a custom golf cart:
I like one-of-a-kind items that nobody else has.
How my ride is customized
This cart was a wreck that I found in an old log building. Some kids were using it to hit trees with. When I saw it I knew it had potential. Took it home and started the restoration. I have been building custom street rods all my life so this was a no-brainer. I like building theme carts so this one got the gambling theme because wife likes to play the slots. It has two ROYAL FLUSH cards on hood and one on the trunk. RR embroidered on front seat. Dice valve stems, dice bolts that I made to hold the roof on in back and some $100.00 casino chips as accent pieces. Also has the joker card accents.
There's a small slot machine in the trunk and a small roulette wheel. LED tailights and third brake light, LED side marker lights also, turn signals. Metal flake gold pinstripping sets it off nicely on the cream colored body and gold top. Lower rocker panel strips are polished stainless and the dash side pieces are polished aluminum. 36 volt system powers this cart.
The front and rear bumpers were fabricated and customized by me. It has the original glass windshield, all new wiring and cables and batteries. New carpeting and headliner. It's a real head tuner. Not too many of these old carts around anymore.
Got it done just in time for wife's Chirstmas present. It's not too elaberate but just a ball to cruise around in our comunity.
Advice
- If you like the old-style carts then by all means find one and build yourself a classic and have a ball driving it.
