Cypress Bend Resort is part of Louisiana's Audubon Golf Trail. The small town of Many is nearby and is the closest civilization. The resort has a feel of being secluded. It's on the Texas-Louisiana border, right next to Toledo Bend Reservoir, and there are multiple holes with terrific views of the water. A few of the holes are right up against the water, and if you're not careful you could lose a ball or two in the lake on those holes.
Very pretty course with most of the holes carved out of the pine trees. Well-defined playing corridors, some challenging par-5s and picturesque par-3s.
I gave it "only" 4 stars for condition, but note that I played Cypress Bend in the middle of winter. Everything was first-class here, so I imagine the course is typically in excellent shape.
Stayed at the on-site hotel, nice digs, good service, good package deal. All-around nice time.
