My Review

I know what you're thinking already: Top-Flite, Top-Rock, Rock-Flite? Not anymore. Callaway purchased Top-Flite a while back and it's a whole new game.

The Top-Flite Gamer V2 is a soft, three-piece, high-performance golf ball. I'm a 25-year-player who's been around the block with many different balls over the years and most frequently with the Titleist NXT Tour. The NXT has been one of the hottest selling balls on the market for some time. Most of the premium 3-piece balls on the market are priced in the $29 to $45 dollar a carton range.

My experience shows, along with some in-depth testing, that the Gamer V2 is virtually identical in performance to the NXT Tour (and many other premium balls) for less than 20 dollars a carton. Long off the driver, great feel off the irons and green-grabbing stop on the short irons. To sum up, this last season, I hit a 6-iron shot into a par-4 green thinking I was playing an NXT Tour that I found and I thought to myself, "Man, I love that ball." I walked up to the green to mark the ball, picked it up and saw that it was one of my Gamers! I said to myself, case closed, I'm buying Gamers. I have ever since.
