Golf Betting appMy Review
I have been searching for an app like this for some time now and was not satisfied with the ones that were on iTunes up until GolfMoolah appeared. I play in a regular golf group every weekend and we are always playing multiple betting games like a Nassau, skins & maybe snake or one other random game to make things interesting.
I was more than happy to pay the download fee based on the 5-star reviews I read on the iTunes store, which sounded like they came from true golfers. So, I found that the app was very simple to set up a new round with the course I wanted and any amount of games we wanted to play. The scorecard was exactly what they said it was and how it functioned ... very easy to input scores and it showed what hole each person got a stroke on based on their GHIN handicap. I was wondering how it would keep track of our scores and wagers but it has a fancy score/money mode button at the bottom that you can switch back and forth from that will show you where you stand on all wagers or just how you are doing on your round.
I found the design of the application to be one of the best out there ... it was easy to navigate and had all the functions one could desire in a golf betting app with a kick ass scorecard. The graphics resemble that of an old world golf card with the features of the space shuttle ... easy on the eyes and not too much going on that it took long to figure out like some of the other jumbled up golf apps I have tried. The scorecard, wager setup screens and golf course database stood out to me.
I was reluctant at first to pay $29.99 for an app that I was not sure of but it turned out to be a lot more than I expected and well worth the download fee. It is a fully automated app with all info already in it as opposed to others that you have to input all the info, so, I was more than happy about that.
My mobile device/OS are
I use all Apple products and the GolfMoolah App works great with them all - iPhone, iPad & iTouch
Cost of app and approximate date of download

What I like best about this app
1. Golf course database of every course in the country
2. Scorecard was easy to use and clean looking
3. Money mode button was a slice of heaven
4. Email scorecard function is sweet for bragging rights or humiliation
5. Handicap-based scorecard for even play
What I liked least about this app
1. Would like it to be available for Blackberry since some of my friends use that
2. I like to play 9's which is not in there yet, but coming soon they say
3. Wish it had a function to tell my wife I'm still playing to allow for an extra beer or two on the 19th
