Tiger goes into detail about his workout philosophy, his diet, and the specifics of his workout on tigerwoods.com (click on the "Fitness" tab).
A typical daily routine begins with an hour of early morning cardio work. Woods usually does one of three things for that hour: bicycling; a 7-mile endurance run; or 3-mile speed runs.
The cardio hour is followed by an hour of weight training, lifting 60- to 70-percent of his normal weights and focusing on lots of reps and different sets.
So that's two hours of early morning fitness work before breakfast.
At the end of a typical day - after Woods has spent much of the day on his golf practice - he returns to his physical workout with 30 more minutes on the weights, working on upper body strength.
Woods writes on his Web site that he stretches for up to 40 minutes before each workout, and that "I listen to my body to avoid injury. I know when I can push it and when I need to back off a bit."
On another page on his Web site, Woods describes his fitness philosophy, beginning by saying, "I view fitness as a long-term strategy for building and maintaining endurance, strength and agility. It's a continuous cycle of training and recovery."
