Question: Tiger Woods Cut Streak: How long? Where did it begin and end?
Answer: From February of 1998 into May of 2005, Tiger Woods made the cut in every tournament he entered on the PGA Tour. That streak of 142 consecutive tournaments without missing a cut is the PGA Tour's all-time record.

Woods bested the previous mark of 113 straight tournaments without a missed cut that had been set by Byron Nelson in 1941-48. It's true that Woods' streak included multiple tournaments that didn't have a cut - but so did Nelson's.

Woods missed the cut at the 1997 Canadian Open. Then, the completion of the 1998 Pebble Beach National Pro-Am was delayed by rain and Woods withdrew rather than return for the completion of the tournament. Those were the only two events in which Woods failed to play beyond the cut before his consecutive cuts streak began at the 1998 Buick Open.

Woods made the cut at the 2005 Wachovia Championship for No. 142 in the streak. But he missed the cut in his next event, the 2005 Byron Nelson Championship. Yes, Woods' streak ended at the tournament hosted by the golfer whose record Woods had broken.
