Known for their happy, playful demeanor on the golf course, Leon and Mori each took up the game at age 10, and each became a member of the Chilean national team at age 12. Leon was a five-time South American champion and the national player of the year; Mori was ranked No. 1 among Chilean juniors and won the 2003 National Amateur Championship.

While they've been friends since childhood, the pair began dating in 2007.

Leon competed on the Gateway Tour in 2008, while Mori played some Futures Tour events following her collegiate graduation.
