More About Divina Delasin:

Divina grew up with a recognizable name in girl's and women's golf. Her sister, Dorothy, competed as the nation's number-one junior golfer and then went on to become a champion on the LPGA Tour.

Although on par with her sister as a junior, life got in the way and Divina, eventually, had to delay her dreams of playing professional golf to help support family finances and the fledgling career of her sister. Divina dropped out of high school and, at one time, held three jobs, with the focus of getting Dorothy successfully through the LPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament.

Once that goal was attained, the sisters became a team, with Divina caddying. Dorothy won her first tournament in her second year on tour and this gave Divina the opportunity to get off the bag and start chasing her own golf dreams. This self-professed "work-aholic" eventually returned to school and college golf, playing for Foothill College and helping her team to a conference championship while she took home honors as Player of the Year.

Although highly motivated to one day play on the LPGA Tour, several failed attempts at the LPGA Qualifying Tournament and the loss of her amateur status had her back in the work force again. Currently, she is in the PGA Apprentice program, and works as an assistant golf professional and as a coach for the First Tee of San Francisco. She hopes to one day open a golf school.
