About Christina Lecuyer:
LeCuyer played college golf at Central Arkansas. In 2007, she played mostly on the Cactus Tour, posting numerous Top 10 finishes. She has also played some on the Canadian Women's Tour and on the Futures Tour.
The Golf Channel says:

In some cases, inexperience merely means that you don't know that you're not supposed to be able to do something. Christina Lecuyer is a great example.

In her first year as a professional, Lecuyer found herself in the finals of the LPGA Tour Qualifying tournament and a contestant on "Big Break Ka’anapali."

You might say she grew into the game more than taking it up. While Lecuyer worked in her dad's golf shop growing up in Edmonton, Alberta, she never really picked up a club until she was 18, that was about the same time she graduated from high school and decided to backpack in New Zealand and Fiji for six months.

"I never knew what I wanted to do when I was in high school. So after I finished, I traveled," she said. "It was an adventure. I bungee jumped, sky dived, I did it all."

Upon returning, Lecuyer's adventure continued as she spent the next few years bartending in Edmonton. While bartending and "getting partying out of my system," Lecuyer started competing as an amateur and won her first three tournaments. They were small amateur events, but wins nonetheless that inspired her towards golf.

Her goal of earning a golf scholarship to a college worked when, at 21, she headed off to the University of Central Arkansas. Lecuyer posted five wins while in college that led to thoughts of playing golf for a living after school.

After graduating last May, she turned professional and has competed in more than 15 mini-tour events, nine of which have been on the Cactus tour. In her first Cactus Tour event, Lecuyer finished runner-up, and added another second place finish later to go along with six other top-10 finishes.
