More About Annie Mallory:

Annie has a strong competitive streak. On a "Big Break V" application form she listed losing as her only allergy with winning being the treatment.

Growing up in Atlantic Canada has been an obstacle for her career due to the shortened golf season that lasts only three to four months. However, after taking up golf so she could beat her sister, she earned a golf scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso when her father made a video and sent it out to coaches. She attracted interest from UTEP due to her ability to hit the ball so far, something in which she takes pride.

While in college, she was twice named second-team All Western Athletic Conference and was WAC All-Academic three times. Throughout her collegiate career, she competed against fellow "Big Break VI" competitor Ashley Gomes. At one point the two alternated honors as WAC golfer of the week for a month.

Currently playing the Cactus Tour, she joins Laura London, Kayrn Stordahl-Utecht as the only females in the "Big Break" competition who don't compete on the Duramed Futures Tour.

She lists Lorie Kane as her hero because she is the only golfer from the Atlantic Canada region playing on the LPGA Tour. A hobby of hers is writing stand-up comedy material, although she has never performed it.
