Big Break VI - Men vs. Women, Plus The Donald

What's in store for the next installment of "The Big Break" on The Golf Channel? It will take place in California. It will feature both men and women.

And, oh yeah, Donald Trump will be involved.

"The Big Break VI: Trump National" will begin airing on Sept. 26. The series is being filmed at Trump National Golf Club on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in California, an oceanside course where the winds blowing in off the Pacific Ocean might even be strong enough on some days to muss The Donald's hair.

The involvement of Trump is sure to be a love-it-or-hate-it feature (obviously, The Golf Channel is betting more of will love it than hate it), but it's another aspect of the new series that is much more intriguing: both men and women will be involved.

The sixth "Big Break" will feature eight male contestants and eight female contestants. Sometimes they'll be playing against each other, sometimes they'll be competing on the same side.

Two champions will be crowned. The female winner will gain exemptions into 2007 LPGA Tour events while the male winner will get into 2007 events on the Champions Tour.

As for Trump, he'll welcome the contestants to his golf course, then make unannounced "pop-ins" throughout the series to reveal to the players twists in the competition.
