Nine contestants remain as the fourth episode of "Big Break V" gets under way. For the Mulligan Challenge, those nine are split into three teams of three players each. Captains are chosen in a random draw: Katie, Ashley and Julie. The three captains then pick their teammates, and team names are chosen:

For the Mulligan Challenge, the "Big Break" breaks out the barrels. Each team member has 60 seconds to fire chip shots at barrels positioned on the beach; each barrel has a point value based on degree of difficulty. High team points at the end of the three rounds wins a mulligan for the team to use in the Immunity Challenge. The three members of the winning team also each win a $1,000 gift card good at Golfsmith.
Team ACC manages to knock just four balls into the barrels, but each shot is a 3-pointer and the 12 total points is good for the victory.
The teams remain intact for the Immunity Challenge, which requires shots from three different positions on a hole: a tee shot, a trouble shot through trees, and a putt. Teams select the player they want to take each shot, and each player has four chances to complete the shot and get her ball into a designated area up ahead. Failure to do so in four shots results in 5 points being given for that shot. Low total team points results in all three team members receiving immunity.
On the tee shot, Becky (Fun) hits the target area on her fourth try (4 points), Kristina (ACC) on her second and Julie (Laughing Roos) on her third.
On the trouble shot, Katie (Fun) hits the target area on her second attempt, Kim (ACC) fails to hit the target despite using her team's mulligan, and Dana (Laughing Roos) fails to hit the target. Entering the third round, Team Fun has six points, ACC seven and the Roos eight.
Divina leads off on the putting portion and sinks the 20-footer on her second try, giving the Roos a point total of 10. Ashley, for ACC, fails to sink the putt by her third try and ACC is eliminated. Then Jeanne can't knock it down by her fourth try, and Team Fun is eliminated.
The Laughing Roos - Julie, Dana and Divina - win immunity. Also, it is the second immunity for each. (The player who reaches her third immunity first is going to win a new car.)
Becky, Jeanne, Katie, Ashley, Kristina and Kim move on to the Elimination Challenge. Each player must hit a target drawn around the flagstick from each of three different distances: 150, 160 and 170 yards. Each has four attempts from each distance. The high points at the end of the challenge is eliminated.
At 150 yards, Kristina needs four attempts. But she hits the target on her first try at both 160 and 170 yards to finish as low scorer.
Katie fails to hit the target in her first round. But Becky fails to hit the target in the second round. After two rounds, those two players are tied with seven as high points. Jeanne is next with six points.
At 170 yards, Jeanne nails her first shot and is safe. Becky misses on her first attempt, but hits her second. That means Katie must hit the target with her first shot to eliminate Becky, or with her second to force a playoff, or else be eliminated herself.
Katie's first attempt is right online and nearly hits the flag, but rolls long. Her second attempt fails to find the target.
Katie Ruhe is eliminated.
