2008 Futures Tour Scoring Average: 72.94 (19th)
Kim Welch may be best-known (to date, anyway) as the winner of "Big Break Kaanapali," and that Golf Channel series is where the photo above originates.
Welch, from Sacramento, Calif., won 11 times in college at Washington State University, and posted 29 Top 10 finishes. She was an All-American selection in 2003.
Welch turned pro in 2005 and joined the Duramed Futures Tour in 2006. In 2006 through 2008, she improved her performance each year, moving up the money lists and bettering her scoring average by 1.5 strokes.
Welch posted one victory in 2008. A former competitor in the Re/Max World Long Drive Championship, she also led the Futures Tour in driving distance in 2008.
