Vicky Hurst turned pro at age 17 after winning the 2007 Duramed Futures Tour Q-School. In her first pro season, she nearly became the first golfer to crack $100,000 in earnings on the Futures Tour; the total she wound up with easily set a new single-season record.

Hurst, who missed a few Futures Tour events to play in LPGA tournaments and to attend her high school graduation, won four times in 2008 and had five other Top 4 finishes. Sixty-three percent of her Futures Tour rounds were below par, and she also led the tour in par-4 average, par-5 average and eagles, and was third in driving distance.

In 2007, the Florida native was the American Junior Golf Association Player of the Year, and she first played the U.S. Women's Open in 2006 at age 16. (next page)
