The record for most top-10 finishes in one season on the PGA Tour was set in 1945 by Jug McSpaden. McSpaden finished in the Top 10 31 times that year.
That was the year Byron Nelson was winning 18 times total, and McSpaden set another record that year: most runner-up finishes (13).
