Oldest Golfer to Play in a PGA Tour Tournament

PGA Tour Records: Oldest to Play

The oldest golfer to play in a PGA Tour tournament is Jerry Barber, who was 77 years, 10 months and 9 days of age when he played the 1994 Buick Invitational.

Barber shot 77-71 and finished at 4-over, missing the cut. A couple weeks earlier he had played in the Nissan Los Angeles Open, shooting 76-80.

Barber's appearances in those events came 33 years after he won the 1961 PGA Championship. Way back in 1961, Barber was the oldest PGA champion (a record since broken).
