Oldest First-Time Winner on the PGA Tour

PGA Tour Records: Oldest to Win for First Time

By Brent Kelley, About.com

The golfer who was oldest at the time of his first PGA Tour victory is Jim Barnum. Barnum was 51 years, 1 month and 5 days of age when he won the 1962 Cajun Classic, his first victory on the PGA Tour.

As a footnote to his victory, Barnum also became the first golfer to win on the PGA Tour while using a Ping putter.
