By Brent Kelley, About.com

Which sudden-death playoff lasted the longest on the LPGA Tour, and how many holes did it go?

10 Holes

  • 1972 Corpus Christi Civitan Open: Jo Ann Prentice def. Sandra Palmer and Kathy Whitworth

The longest playoff of any type on the LPGA Tour was the 20-hole playoff at the 1998 U.S. Women's Open between Se Ri Pak and Jenny Chuasiriporn. That playoff was scheduled for 18 holes, then required another two holes of sudden death before Pak won.
