By Brent Kelley, About.com

About The Tour Championship:
The Tour Championship is a limited-field event that has long been considered the finale to the big-money part of the PGA Tour schedule. Beginning in 2007, the Tour Championship also serves as the culmination of the FedEx Cup chase, the tournament at which the FedEx Cup champion is crowned. The Tour Championship field is limited to the Top 30 golfers on the FedEx Cup playoff points list.

2007 Tournament
Tiger Woods ran away from the field to win by 8 strokes and claim the inaugural FedEx Cup title as a bonus. Woods posted rounds of 64, 63, 64 and 66 for a 257 total. Zach Johnson and Mark Calcavecchia were second.

2006 Recap
The 2006 champion at The Tour Championship was Adam Scott, who won by three strokes over Jim Furyk. Scott posted rounds of 69-67-67-66 to finish at 11-under 269.
