Augusta, Ga., Noon - Hello from a wet and rainy Masters. We are in a rain delay, and from the looks of things at the time I am writing this, I have my doubts that we will play at all today. So, I check my e-mail and wait. We were originally scheduled to play at 11 a.m. (Augusta time), but now are not scheduled to go off until 3 p.m. Yuck!
There is not a lot to do here in Augusta. It's a great city, just not a lot to do. Plus, there are 60,000 golf fans who now also have nothing to do.
Yesterday was a great day. We played nine holes with Larry Mize, who I consider a personal friend and world-class nice guy, then Bernhard's daughter caddied in the Par 3 contest. She is 12 and she was adorable in the Augusta National caddie jumper. Bernhard got her a small bag and carried 4 clubs all the way around. I personally think the par-3 course may be the prettiest part of the National! It is spectacular over there.
We closed our first auction for Caddy for a Cure and we have 4 very excited winners coming next Tuesday to Hilton Head. Imagine what it would be like to spend the day at a Tour event with a Tour player! Go to www.caddyforacure.com to find out how you can caddie for a Tour player, and raise money for great charities at the same time.
Hopefully, the rain will stop - and so will the greens - when we start playing again.
