Getting to Augusta, Georgia, and The Masters

If you're planning to a trip to Augusta, Ga., for The Masters, you can fly directly to Augusta Regional Airport (code AGS). Augusta Regional is served by US Airways, Delta and Continental airlines and offers multiple connecting flights to Charlotte, N.C., and Atlanta as well as flights to Houston and Newark, N.J.

A convenient alternative is the Columbia, S.C., airport, which is an hour away from Augusta via Interstate 20.

Augusta is located on the Savannah River, which forms the border between South Carolina and Georgia. Augusta is about 2 hours, 45 minutes away by car from the two popular coastal resorts of Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C. Atlanta is also about 2 1/2 hours by car, and the town of Aiken, S.C. is 30 minutes away.
