A. Horton Smith. Smith won the inaugural Masters in 1934. After finishing in a tie for 19th in 1935, he came back in 1936 with another victory.

Just like in 1934, Smith's second win was by a single stroke. He shot 72 on Sunday to finish at 3-under par, besting "Lighthorse" Harry Cooper by one. Cooper, who despite winning more than 30 times on the PGA Tour never won a major, shot 76 in the final round.
