Question: Who Was the First Masters Champion to Wear the Green Jacket?

The Green Jacket is awarded every year to the winner of The Masters. Who was the first Masters champion to get one?

Answer: Sam Snead, who slipped into a Green Jacket following his victory at the 1949 Masters. It was that year that the tradition of presenting a Green Jacket to the Masters winner began. Members of Augusta National, however, started the Green Jacket tradition even earlier.
