One of instructor Roger Gunn's prized possessions is a 7-page letter written by Ben Hogan in which Hogan talks about the takeaway. The Hawks writes about his "no hands" takeaway, which starts with a tiny weight shift to the right and a shoulder turn. Tom Lehman agrees with the technique, which prevents golfers from having to use the small muscles in their hands.

Roger's audio tip is an .mp3 sound file. MP3 files can be played on recent versions of Windows Media, RealMedia and QuickTime media players, as well as most other media players. The following file is a little over 3 minutes in length.
