Golfers have been known to practice putting with their eyes closed as a way to improve their feel for the putting stroke. But the eyes-closed trick can also be applied to the full swing. The practice full swing, that is!
Here's a quick tip on a practice method that comes from Michael Lamanna, Director of Instruction at The Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.:
Players can improve their full swing and driving with the eyes-closed technique. I often ask players who over-swing or have trouble maintaining their balance and/or posture during the full swing to make practice swings with their eyes closed. This heightens their kinesthetic awareness of movements and balance and often, with regular practice in this manner, they improve their ball-striking.
