Stop the Bleeding

Definition: Slang for putting an end to poor play during a round of golf. A golfer who is struggling, who is hitting bad shots, is "bleeding." That golfer needs to hit a great shot or have a good hole in order to "stop the bleeding" and get his round back on track.
