Definition: "Appearances" is another name for Honors, a golf side bet based on which side tees off first on each hole (or, in other words, which side has the honor on each tee).
A side earns an Appearances point when it tees off first (excluding the first hole, where the order of play is determined randomly). See Honors for further explanation.
