Maybe she should log on to the Web and pay a visit to Golf-Widows.com. The Web site launched early in 2004 to promote a new card game called "Golf Widows." Since that time, other golf novelty items have been added that might be of interest to a golf widow, or to the golfer himself.
The Golf Widows card game uses a high-quality deck of cards that can also be used to play traditional card games.
According to Golf-Widows.com, the card game "... enables a golfer's 'widow' to deal questions on the cards about his apparent obsession with golf, and then gives him a chance to play cards with suitable answers (or excuses!) in response to her questions."
Any woman who wants to make a point to her husband about his excessive golfing can whip out a Golf Widows deck of cards when he gets home. Cards in the deck include questions for her to pose to him, while others include answers that he can offer in reply.
"The main purpose of the Golf Widows Card Game is to make a humorous point out of the relationship issue that often exists between a golfer and his lady partner," the Web site explains. That means that if the card game is given as a gag gift, it can simply be used to get a few laughs.
But an actual card game can also be played, making the cards a little bit more useful than what one usually thinks of a "gag gift."

The Golf-Widows.com site also includes a collection of humorous cartoons as well as a gift shop offering such items as caps, shirts, mousepads and coasters.
