Pinehurst Resort - No. 2 Course

Pinehurst Resort, in the Sandhills region of North Carolina, is one of the best-known golf resorts in the world. It features eight courses, all identified by number. The No. 2 course is the most famous. It was designed by legendary architect Donald Ross and has hosted numerous national amateur and professional championships through the years. No. 2 always ranks high - often within the Top 10 - in "best of" U.S. and world golf course rankings.

Above Photo: A little bit of the beauty of the No. 2 course, this splash of color is near the green of the second hole. Things begin to heat up on the second hole, a 469-yard par-4 with a slight dogleg right. Four fairway bunkers on the left side, and out-of-bounds just past the bunkers, along with a demanding green provide the dangers on this hole.
