The K Club is a resort in Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland, and its Palmer Course was the host of the 2006 Ryder Cup. The K Club also hosted the European Open on the European Tour. The photos in this gallery appear courtesy of Where2Golf.com.
There are two 18-hole courses at The K Club, the Smurfit Course and the Palmer Course. Both were designed by Arnold Palmer.
The photos in this gallery show the Palmer Course. As you'll see in the photos, the Palmer Course at The K Club is not at all like the famous Irish seaside links courses. The Palmer Course is more akin to an American course, a lush inland park-style layout. The Palmer Course tips out at 7,337 yards and plays to a par of 72.
