Located in Berkshire, close to London, Sunningdale Golf Club is one of the best-known inland, or parkland-style, golf courses in a country more commonly associated with links golf. Actually, Sunningdale boasts two courses - the Old Course and the New Course. The Old Course is the one pictured in this gallery.

The club was founded in 1900 and the Old Course opened for play in 1901 with a design by Willie Park Jr. (The New Course opened in 1922 with a design by Harry S. Colt.)

Known as one of Bobby Jones' favorites, Sunningdale's Old Course was the site of the 1987 Walker Cup, has hosted multiple Women's British Opens, and served as the site of some of the most important tournaments in Britain over the decades.
