Southern Hills Country Club is located in Tulsa, Okla. The club has been the site of three U.S. Open championships, most recently in 2001, and four PGA Championships, including the 2007 tournament.
Southern Hills was founded in 1936, and Perry Maxwell was the original designer of the club's golf course. Keith Foster led a renovation in 1999 of the original 18, after Ben Crenshaw had designed an additional nine holes that opened in 1992 and are known as the West Nine Golf Course. During the 2007 PGA Championship, the championship 18 played to 7,131 yards and a par of 70. The course is a par-71 for members.
