Photographer Judy Hedding, About.com Guide to Phoenix, says of this photo, depicting hole No. 3: "Playing the Pebble Beach Golf Links is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many people. It's a pretty darned expensive round of golf, so if you decide to do it, I highly recommend going all the way and hiring a caddie. Caddies will handle two bags at a time. At the third hole, our caddie, Derek, let us know that no one ever loses a ball when he's on the course. Well, that was almost true! Here's Derek, at Hole No. 3. A shorter par-4, you're fine as soon as you get by the trees at the tee box. You then approach a small, narrow, bunker-protected green."
