From Brent Kelley, About.com

Oak Tree Golf Club is a private club in Edmond, Okla. Water greets golfers on each of the first eight holes, presenting the possibility of high numbers early in the round. The par-71 track tips out at 7,419 and has hosted many important tournaments including the 1988 PGA Championship and the 2006 Senior PGA Championship. A Pete Dye design that opened in the 1970s, Oak Tree Golf Club is known as a beautiful but very challenging layout. In fact, when the PGA Championship was played here, its USGA course rating was 76.9, the highest in the country at that time.
