Fredericksburg, Va., one of the key cities of the Confederacy and site of one of the most famous battles of the Civil War, is today home to Lee's Hill Golf Club. Lee's Hill is named after Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, whose 1862 campsite now sits on the grounds of the golf club. Civil War battle trenches can still be seen around the grounds of the course.
Lee's Hill Golf Club, designed by Bill Love, opened in 1994. The course tips out at 6,834 yards and plays to a par of 72. The track concludes with its longest hole, the 605-yard par-5 No. 18.
