Ecco has a new "Four Dots" logo on its golf shoes, and Spring/Summer 2009 collections for men and women. Each pair of Ecco golf shoes is worked on or inspected by 225 people during the production process, which takes place only at factories owned by the Danish company. The Spring/Summer 2009 shoes begin shipping to retailers in November 2008.
- Ecco Men's Spring/Summer 2009 Collection: Sleek profiles and subdued colors are the hallmarks of this collection, which is highlighted by the Ultra Performance shoe. The Ultra Performance is built around an anatomical last that encapsulates the foot, has a cushioned, three-component insole unit and PU Lite wrap-around system that help with midsole support, plus a lightweight outsole with stability islands made from soft-density flex areas and hard-density traction zones.
The Ecco Ultra Performance men's golf shoes come in black, white and buffed silver with an MSRP of $250. The Classic Premier and Casual Cool II Premier shoes retail for $170 and have more color options and combos.
- Ecco Women's Spring/Summer 2009 Collection: The women's collection for Spring/Summer 2009 is built around soft, breathable leathers, ultra-slim midsoles and color-matched outsoles, with a color palette of soft reds, purples and blues, vibrant metallics (see photo above, a Fashion Life Premier model), black and white.
The trendy Casual Cool Hydromax ($180 MSRP) highlights the collection with tactile rubber detailing and distressed leather types with an ultra-lightweight midsole with asymmetrical arch support.
The Fashion Life Premier ($150) and Classic Premier ($160) round out the collection.
