TaylorMade has sent one specially marked r7 Limited driver - in a commemorative box display - to each golf course in the U.S. participating in Patriot Golf Day. In 2007, there were 3,200 courses taking part in the event, and at least that many - probably more - are participating in 2008.

So that gives you an idea of just how limited the Patriot Golf Day r7 Limiteds are.

How do you get one? Visit a golf course taking part in Patriot Golf Day, find the commemorative display box with the r7 Limited inside it, and make a bid via silent auction (if you're not sure what to do, just ask someone in the pro shop).

In addition to the laser-etched fighter jet on the sole of the club, the Patriot Golf Day logo also appears on the toe, as in the photo above.

How do you find participating golf courses - and what happens to the money raised via the auctions? (next page)
