Miura Limited-Edition Small Blade Forged Irons

At a time when coming up with the latest oversized, ultra-forgiving iron is what so many companies are scrambling to do, the ultra-premium Japanese company Miura Golf is going a different direction. Miura is going smaller.

The Miura Limited-Edition Small Blade Forged irons, designed by company namesake Katsuhiro Miura, have clubheads about 15-percent smaller than Miura's Tournament Blades.

"Industry fads mean nothing to me," Miura says in a news release. "These fads are developed by the marketing departments of the equipment manufacturers simply to boost sales and have little to do with performance. What I care about is creating the most perfect performing golf clubs for golfers, and different golfers have different preferences. I believe there is a class of golfer who will very much appreciate the qualities of the Small Blade, and I have made this club for these golfers."

And who are those golfers? Skilled golfers who are adept at hitting the sweet spot time after time; and, Miura says, "the golfer who really wants to improve and is looking for the most intelligent feedback on every shot he or she hits."

The Miura Limited-Edition Small Blade Forged irons have a nickel (satin ) finish. The set is 3-9 with PW, with a 2-iron available separately. The stock shaft is steel with a number of options available; the irons are available in right-hand only. The MSRP is $1,799. Visit miuragolf.com for more info. (next page)
