Both are 2-piece balls targeted at slower swing speeds. The Soft Feel is pictured above; the Soft Feel Lady is in pink-accented packaging.
The cores are Srixon's soft E.G.G. (Energetic Gradient Growth) core that is engineered to help create a faster ball speed and higher launch for golfers who don't generate my speed or height on their own.
A proprietary blended ionomer cover called "Pana-Tetra" offers a soft feel but still, according to Srixon, reduces spin off the driver.
The covers for both balls feature eight different dimple sizes, with larger dimple diameters and greater dimple coverage. That means, Srixon says, greater lift and less wind resistance, for a higher trajectory and more carry distance.
The Srixon Soft Feel and Srixon Soft Feel Lady balls rolled out on Sept. 15, 2008, with a retail price of $19.99 per dozen.
