Tour B330-RX
This is the new model. The Bridgestone Tour B330-RX golf ball is aimed at low handicappers with moderate swing speeds - golfers who need a little extra "oomph" off the tee, but who also desire the spin, control and feel characteristics of a player's ball.
The Tour B330-RX incorporates Bridgestone's Very Soft Gradational Compression Core and Bridgestone claims it is the "softest multilayer ball on the market." Combined with an an Ionomer Inner Cover designed to increase velocity and reduce spin off the driver and long irons, the high-rebound core allows Bridgestone to target this ball at low-handicappers with swing speeds from 85 mph to 102 mph.
Tour B330 and Tour B330-S
The 2008 versions of these are upgraded with Bridgestone's new "dual-mantle 4-piece construction technology." Some 4-piece balls have dual cores; these balls have dual mantle layers. An inner mantle, Bridgestone says, reduces spin off the driver and long irons, while providing a better energy transfer, resulting in better distance performance.
The new Tour B330 and Tour B330-S balls also boast improved performance in the wind, according to Bridgestone, with a more piercing trajectory. They have slightly softer cores compared to previous models, and improved spin characteristics off wedges.
The Tour B330 is designed for swing speeds of 112 mph and higher, and has a slightly firmer feel than the B330-S.
The Tour B330-S is designed for golfers with swing speeds between 103 mph and 115 mph, and feels a little softer than the B330.
