Adams has a well-earned reputation for helping recreational golfers get the most out of their games through ultra-forgiving clubs. The original Tight Lies, anyone?

But Adams also has a growing Tour presence. And the Adams Idea Pro Gold Hybrids and Hybrid Irons are premium clubs built for better players.

First, the set makeup is two Pro Gold hybrids paired with six forged irons. The two hybrids replace the 3- and 4-irons, and the forged irons are 5-PW.

The Pro Gold Hybrids incorporate Adams' "Boxer Technology," an "improved maraging steel face," and "enhanced weighting system." Compared to previous Idea Pro hybrids, the Idea Pro Gold has 5-percent more forgiveness on off-center strikes and 10-percent improvement in launch conditions, according to Adams.

The forged irons in the set are made from 8620 carbon steel, have a thin top line and sole, mirror-chrome plating, and constant offset desgined to offer better control. They also have larger grooves than previous sets.

The stock shaft for the hybrids is the Mitsubishi Rayon JAVLN FX 80-gram graphite shaft; for the irons, the Precision Rifle Project X Flighted steel shaft.

As a set, the Idea Pro Gold Hybrid Irons carry an MSRP of $1,099 with graphite shafts or $899 with steel shafts. The hybrids can also be purchased separately for $219 each. Visit www.adamsgolf.com for more info.
