The new drivers are 5x5 in clubhead dimension, meeting the USGA limits of 5-inch heel-toe width and 5-inch face-rear depth.
Both drivers are designed with less weight in the toe. Too much weight in the toe can create a slice or fade bias. The FastBack is set up for golfers who, the company says, "are not burdened with the problem of slicing or fading, but would like to control ball dispersion on off-center hits."
The Nicklaus Dual Point FastBack driver is available in lofts of 8, 9, 10.5 and 13 degrees for right-handed golfers, and in 10.5 degrees LH. Shaft options are the Fujikura SG Pro 3.0.1 (A, R and S flexes); Fujikura SG Pro 3.0.1 TS (Tip Stiff) in S and X flex; and in ladies flex, the Nicklaus SG Pro 3.01. Custom shaft offerings include the Grafalloy Pro Launch Blue, Aldila VS Proto and UST ProForce V-2. Depending on shaft selection, the MSRP ranges from $299.99 to $349.99.
