It works by connecting an "optical-sensing platform" - a fancified, high-tech putting mat - to a computer with the PuttingShark software. The software captures data from, the company says, 65 optical elements. That captured data is displayed and analyzed on screen, with the golfer receiving feedback on such things as clubhead path, face angle, angle of attack, clubhead speed, and success is hitting the sweetspot.
At the time this article was published, the PuttingShark was being offered for $379 on the company's Web site.
