Clubs in the Praxis Fairway Wood series from Henry-Griffitts utilize Carpenter Custom 455 stainless steel in the face, a steel with a higher weight-to-strength ratio that results in a thinner, lighter face. That clubface is plasma-welded to the 17-4 stainless steel body, and the combination saves grams that are repositioned in more helpful spots around the body.

Like in the sole, for example, through the use of a brass sole insert, which helps lower the center of gravity.

Henry-Griffitts Praxis fairway woods come in five lofts: 15.5 degrees, 18.5, 21.5, 24.5 and 28.5 degrees. The lie is adjustable from 3 degrees upright to 3 degrees flat, and the face angle from 3 degrees open to 3 degrees closed.

The price is $315 for steel-shafted and $325 for graphite-shafted. Visit henry-griffitts.com for more info or to find a custom clubfitter.
