The FT-iz driver introduces what Callaway calls "Polar Weighting." The clubhead design on the new driver concentrates weight at the front and back of the clubhead for what Callaway says is a little extra "oomph" delivered to the ball - an "in-line power source," the company calls it. Higher ball speeds and more stability at impact are among the results, Callaway claims.
The FT-iz driver also utilizes aerodynamic design elements to incrementally increase swing speed through reduced drag.
An FT-iz Tour model is also available, which comes with a slightly open face angle. The Callaway FT-iz driver is available now at retail with an MSRP of $399. callawaygolf.com
