The Puttermaster is a simple-looking training aid whose purpose is to help golfers whose putting suffers from too much wrist and forearm action in the stroke.

The Puttermaster is attached to the top end of the putter grip, with two "arms" extending outward from the putter at right angles. To use it, the golfer takes his grip with his wrists or the base of his forearms against the Puttermaster "arms." By maintaining pressure against the Puttermaster during the stroke, the company says, the golfer is stabilizing his wrist/forearms, which can promoter a better release of the putter and a more accurate stroke.

The Puttermaster.com Web site includes a how-to video with instructor Mark Immelman on using the product, as well as putting instructional videos and tips.

The training aid was introduced at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show and, at the time of this writing, carries a price tag of $29.99. puttermaster.com
