The Speedline F11 fairway woods from Adams Golf also (like the F11 driver) include the company's "Velocity Slot Technology." In the fairway woods, there is one visible channel in the crown and another on the sole, a little back from the clubface. The purpose, Adams says, is to "increase deflection and reduce stress on the face, thereby expanding the coefficient of restitution (COR) or spring-like effect for on-center and off-center shots."
And the result, Adams says, is a more forgiving fairway metal, woods that increase COR without having to increase in clubhead size.
The Adams Speedline F11 fairway woods become available at retail outlets on Feb. 1, 2011. Stainless steel models and titanium models will be offered; the stainless versions with an MSRP of $299.99 and the titanium models with an MSRP of $399.99.
Both stainless and titanium models will come in 3+, 3 and 5-woods (with 3 and 5 available in LH as well as RH). Women's models will come in 3-, 5- and 7-woods. adamsgolf.com
