What does a $1,000 rainsuit look like? It looks like the DryJoys Premier Rain Suit from FootJoy. Now available for purchase in sizes from Small through XXL, the jacket carries an MSRP of $700 and the pants and MSR of $300. The pants are black while the jacket comes in two color schemes.

The "premier" in the product's name probably gives away, even before learning the MSRP, that this outerwear offering from FootJoy is aimed at the luxury end of the market.

The shell's exterior is treated with the FJ Protect Waterproof System, which beads water so it runs off the garment. The jacket sleeves are removable, as are the lower leg panels. Underarm vents and nylon stretch fabric help maintain the golfer's range of motion.

The rain suit has three interchangeable liners:

  • Mesh liner, for warm, wet, windy conditions
  • Taffeta liner, for wet, windy conditions
  • Softshell liner, for cool, wet, windy conditions

Lycra cuffs and bonded seams help create a watertight seal. The hand pockets are lined and waterproof, and there is also a waterproof scorecard pocket. The rain suit also incorporates the DryJoys "Sta-Dry Grip System," which keeps the golfer's club grip dry until he or she is ready to hit the shot.

The FootJoy DryJoys Premier Rain Suit comes with a 2-year limited waterproof guarantee. footjoy.com
