The Bottom Line

The No-Bend-O ballmark repair tool gives golfers who have back problems, or special needs golfers, a way to repair ballmarks on the green. It can be used by any golfer, and while it's not as precise an instrument as the standard ballmark repair tool, it gets the job done. And any product that encourages golfers who don't currently repair pitch marks to begin doing so is a plus.
Pros
  • Makes repairing ballmarks on the green possible for golfers with back problems.
  • Easy to use - no bending required.
  • Does a good job with pitch marks.
Cons
  • Not as precise as a standard ballmark repair tool.
  • Jumbo grip takes up a lot of space in bag.
  • Inconvenient to carry compared to standard tool.

Guide Review - No-Bend-O

The No-Bend-O is a ballmark repair tool on a stick. Well, on a golf shaft, to be precise. What's the point of that? Two-fold: to allow golfers with back problems, and special-needs golfers - golfers who experience pain or difficulty bending over - to be able to repair their pitch marks. Secondly, to encourage all golfers to repair their own and other ballmarks by making it easier to do so.

The No-Bend-O, being the same length as a short iron, is carried in the golf bag (on some bags it might fit in the umbrella holder). So it doesn't fit into the pocket, or a bag pouch, the way a standard tool does. Additionally, the jumbo grip takes up a lot of room. However, the company does provide the option of a headcover to make the golfer's bag appear more "normal" - nothing unusual sticking up out of the bag.

The No-Bend-O does a good job repairing pitch marks. Given that it's worked from about 4 feet off the green, it's not as precise as a standard tool. But, let's face it, most golfers aren't terribly precise when using a standard tool anyway.

That's when they bother to repair pitch marks at all. While the No-Bend-O makes it possible for seniors, anyone with a bad back, or special-needs golfers to repair ballmarks, it also might encourage golfers who don't currently bother with repairs to start doing so. It's very easy to use - no bending. It's the No-Bend-O, after all.

And any product that might encourage more golfers to repair ballmarks gets a thumbs-up from us.
